BARIATRIC PATIENT SLIDE SHEETS WITH HANDLES

Slide Sheets are made from Transtex, a specially developed fabric that is silicone-coated on both sides to provide a slick, low-friction surface for easier patient movement and turning.

Bariatric Patient-Specific Slide Sheets are lilac in colour to allow for easy identification by staff. These lightweight sheets are designed to remain with the patient during their hospital stay and should be disposed of when the patient is discharged or no longer requires them.
They are not intended for laundering. Lightly soiled sheets may be wiped clean using a dilute chlorine-based solution or an approved sterilising fluid.

Slide sheets are not intended for lifting. All patient manoeuvres must be carried out using sliding and repositioning techniques only.

Flat Bariatric Slide Sheets with Handles are full body-length and can be used as a pair (back-to-back) or as a single sheet folded in half. They feature handles along three full sides for a secure grip and safer patient handling.
The handles are attached using a flag-style stitch pattern, providing a strong and secure product for both patient and carer. Handles along the short edge allow carers to give additional support to the patient’s head during repositioning manoeuvres.
